            I am guilty of watching reality TV shows. I occasionally watch a couple different TV shows for example Grays Anatomy, CSI, Criminal Minds, and How I Met Your Mother. But that does not mean I sit and watch every episode of these shows. Since I rarely have any spare time to sit, relax and watch TV, I usually watch about 30-45 minutes. I do enjoy these kinds of reality TV shows like Gray’s Anatomy because it gives me a perspective of how working at a Hospital. CSI and Criminal Minds are just very captivating because at an earlier time in my life I wanted to pursue a career in the criminology field. In other words these shows are semi educational, well at least to me they are. As far as the show How I met your mother it is just a show that I like to watch to have a good laugh. I personally don’t think there is anything wrong with sitting and watching Tv for a short period of time. Well depending on what you sit and watch. If you sit and watch educational shows it is just benefiting you. But if you sit and watch pointless shows you are just absorbing things into your brain that pointless.

There are some reality TV shows that don’t capture my attention and those shows are Jersey Shore, Teen Mom, Mob Wives etc. I think these shows either show woman who have no self respect for themselves, practically promote teenage pregnancy, or are just plain ridiculous and pointless. I believe these types of shows are harming our society because people of our society think that certain things shown are acceptable. But in reality they just make you look dumb or they down grade you. These types of reality shows are the types of reality TV programs I try to avoid. I believe that our society would be better off without these types of shows because like I said before they are both pointless and ridiculous. They do not benefit our society in any shape or form. Some people become so drawn to these reality TV shows that they base their life decisions or even dress just like people from these shows. I unfortunately know some people that are like this, and they really do believe that some of the decisions they make and things they do are socially expectable.
